Lifelong  Learning  Programme  –  LLP

The  new European Program for life learning began in 1/1/2007 which covers the  sectors  of  Education and  Professional  Training. Informationis givenviatheweb pages(www.iky.gr–www.europa.eu) and fromtheweb pageof TEI of Western Greece (www.teiwest.gr).

Nursing Department at T.E.I. of West Greece not only send but also receive nurse students from other European Countries. Students can attend theoretical courses and clinical placements in various areas of Nursing (community, hospital, health centers, etc).

What does the  program offer to the students?

1. The students have the possibilities, if they wish, to study (courses) and practice (practical training) abroad. More specific students can:

a. attend courses, as partof Curriculum

b. complete their dissertation,underthesupervisionofProfessorinthe receiving institution

c. undertake their practical training inotherEuropeancountry(durationofpractical training,at least,6-months)

d. Follow courses and practical training (scholarshipwill be maximum 12 months)

2. to obtain qualifications, experiences and up-to-date knowledge in other European Universities

3. to begin a career with high standard and with European orientation

4. to extend the professional and social horizons in their life

With ERASMUS scholarship, the student can participate in the program, under the following circumstances:

  1. She/he has completedthefirstyearofstudy(60instructiveunits)
  2. Has sufficient knowledge ofl anguage at the receiving University/Institution

The monthly students compensation is granted by T.E.I. of West Greece, via subsidy by the Institution of Government Scholarships (IKY) and ranged (depending on the receiving institution/country),

Y = 1 full academic year

1S = 1 semester                                                              

1T = 1 term/trimester                             

ECTS credits :

1 full academic year = 60 credits

1 semester = 30 credits

1 term/trimester = 20 credits
