The permanent teaching staff has more than 70 published researches in international acknowledged scientific journals. In some of them the students of the department have had a significant contribution.
During the last three years the students of the department have made more than 50 presentations in panhellenic nursing conferences, two of which have been awarded the first prize.
Besides the permanent staff of the department, a big number of nursing teachers contribute to the teaching process. Most of them hold a master’s degree or a PhD Diploma or they have many years of working experience in the hospital setting.
Head of the Department is Associate Professor Panayiotis Kiekkas, PhD.
Head of the Secretariat is Mrs. Anna Lagkadinou. There are three administrative staff in the Secretariat.
For special technical issues the department is supported by Mr. Dimitris Zikos.
