Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the course, students will be able to:
• define cardiovascular and respiratory concepts
• evaluate the patient’s needs by using information from the patient, his / her environment and
his / her dossier (medical-nursing history)• identify patterns of deontological behaviour
• design nursing care by prioritizing problems and defining the purposes of nursing care in
cardiovascular and respiratory patients.
• provide holistic and personalized nursing care to cardiovascular and respiratory patients.
• evaluate the effects of care based on the principles of nursing as an art and a science
• apply the necessary methods and techniques in every clinical practice
• interpret patients’ responses to early treatment and prevent complications in cardiovascular and
